Timothy James

"Precious to God"

I was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 8th because my amniotic sac was leaking and I had begun to dilate. I was ordered to lie flat on my back until the baby came ( I was due April 2nd!). Well, on Dec. 17th my water broke at 7:15pm and Timothy James decided to come early. He was breech and already on his way out, so the doctor did an emergency C-section and at 10:20 pm he was delivered. He went straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and has been there ever since. Timothy was only 25 weeks along in his development (a "normal" pregnancy lasts 40 weeks) so he still has a lot of growing to do.

We are back home now and boy does it feel good! Timothy was safely helicoptered back to Fontana this morning. Mommy & daddy are now settled in at home. Thank you for all your prayers during our stay in LA.

We wanted to share some of our experience with you through pictures which we are now able to publish right here!
This is me in my "big boy bed", getting ready to go for my helicopter ride!
Bye-bye mommy!
Wow! There's my ride!
This is my first trip ever outside! Boy, is it loud out here! Good thing they put that special wax in my ears to plug 'em up!
All aboard! Daddy got to go with me!
I drank from my bottle really well while staying in LA. Notice my mommy's special hand technique to help me with proper mouth formation. We call it the "cheek squeeze" :)
Check out those curls!
Sleeping soundly after a big day!

Timothy had his second eye surgery today in L.A. The surgery was performed on the right eye and the surgeon said it went well. There was some concern regarding Timothy's low heart rate and electrolyte level before surgery. But, through prayer and God's timing, everything leveled out and they were able to perform the surgery without complication. Timothy's heart rate is still considerably lower than it has been (or should be) and this is making him lethargic. The doctor will check Timothy's eyes tomorrow (Tuesday) and Friday. Depending on his recovery, he will go back to Kaiser Fontana sometime after Friday. We'll let you when we know more. Thank you all for continuing to lift Timothy and his mom and dad in prayer!

Praise:-Surgery went well
-Electrolytes leveled out prior to surgery

Prayer:
-Low heart rate
-Rest and peace for mom and dad. (It's hard to be away from family and friends during this time.)
