Timothy James

I was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 8th because my amniotic sac was leaking and I had begun to dilate. I was ordered to lie flat on my back until the baby came ( I was due April 2nd!). Well, on Dec. 17th my water broke at 7:15pm and Timothy James decided to come early. He was breech and already on his way out, so the doctor did an emergency C-section and at 10:20 pm he was delivered. He went straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and has been there ever since. Timothy was only 25 weeks along in his development (a "normal" pregnancy lasts 40 weeks) so he still has a lot of growing to do.

Timothy (and his mommy) have a very busy week ahead of them. They have 4 doctor appointments in 3 days. Timothy saw the ear, nose, and throat doctor today. It was a good visit. Timothy does have very enlarged tonsils which will need to be removed some time in the future. Tomorrow (Tuesday), Timothy has an orthopedic appointment and a visit to set up occupational and physical therapy appointments. On Wednesday, Timothy and his mommy have an appointment in L.A. to see the optometrist. This will be the first attempt to measure his vision and they will discuss possible corrective lenses or other measures. They will also have a visit with the ophthalmologist to follow up on his left eye. Please pray for travel safety and positive outcomes. Also, pray for Timothy's comfort during his eye exams.
