I was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 8th because my amniotic sac was leaking and I had begun to dilate. I was ordered to lie flat on my back until the baby came ( I was due April 2nd!). Well, on Dec. 17th my water broke at 7:15pm and Timothy James decided to come early. He was breech and already on his way out, so the doctor did an emergency C-section and at 10:20 pm he was delivered. He went straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and has been there ever since. Timothy was only 25 weeks along in his development (a "normal" pregnancy lasts 40 weeks) so he still has a lot of growing to do.

Please pray with us and for us - Timothy is exhibiting signs of infection again. The insurance would not approve one of the anitibiotics the doctor prescribed and so he has not had it for 4 days. I was able to get some from the doctor himself today and hopefully this will help the symptoms we are beginning to see. Please pray for healing for Timothy without having to go through the hospital ordeal again and for wisdom for mommy & daddy as we make decisions about what to do to get him what he needs.
Psalm 30:10-12 "Hear, O Lord, and be gracious to me; O Lord, be my helper. You have turned my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness that my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever."WE ARE HOME!!! And boy, does it feel good! We praise the Lord for how He has worked in Timothy's body for him to be able to come home. We are thankful for His compassion and care for Timothy and for us during this ordeal. We are also thankful to all of you who have continually lifted us up in prayer, especially during this long hospitalization.
The first 24 hours at home were a little rough as Timothy transitioned to the home setting, but we are all doing great now! We were so blessed to have our nursing help begin again immediately upon Timothy's discharge. We have wonderful home health care nurses who are willing to work with us and really want to help us out. They are truly gifts from God!

Psalm 31:14-15, 19 " But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord. I say, 'My times are in Your hand...' How great is Your goodness which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You."
Day 28 - it looks like the plan may be to send Timothy home on Monday if he continues doing well!
Praise - he was weaned down some on his oxygen requirement yesterday, hopefully that will continue
Prayer - that all the discharge details would go smoothly
