Timothy James

"Precious to God"

I was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 8th because my amniotic sac was leaking and I had begun to dilate. I was ordered to lie flat on my back until the baby came ( I was due April 2nd!). Well, on Dec. 17th my water broke at 7:15pm and Timothy James decided to come early. He was breech and already on his way out, so the doctor did an emergency C-section and at 10:20 pm he was delivered. He went straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and has been there ever since. Timothy was only 25 weeks along in his development (a "normal" pregnancy lasts 40 weeks) so he still has a lot of growing to do.

Psalm 100 "Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the Lord Himself is God...Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good. His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations."

Weight: 20 lbs.
Height: 29 inches

As you can see, Timothy's growth has slowed down some and he even dropped some weight this month. The nutritionist said it's probably due to his increased mobility and activity level, so we just need to boost his calorie intake. Other than that, he's doing great! We had a doctor's appt. yesterday. We saw a new lung doctor and she finally reduced some of his medications (which we are always thankful for).

During the past 2 weeks, we sold our home and bought a new one which is still being built and will be completed in February. In the meantime, we have had a SUPER SHORT escrow and will be moving Thanksgiving weekend. This has all happened suddenly and we believe it is the work of God since it started with someone making an offer on our home and it wasn't even on the market! Anyway, we will be staying with Timothy's grandparents in the interim 'til our house is finished and the change in address is affecting our nursing situation some. Our nurses need to decide if they are going to stay with us or not and there may be some adjustments in their hours.

Please pray that God would provide just the right nurses and amount of care that Timothy (and mommy & daddy) need.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
