Timothy James

"Precious to God"

I was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 8th because my amniotic sac was leaking and I had begun to dilate. I was ordered to lie flat on my back until the baby came ( I was due April 2nd!). Well, on Dec. 17th my water broke at 7:15pm and Timothy James decided to come early. He was breech and already on his way out, so the doctor did an emergency C-section and at 10:20 pm he was delivered. He went straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and has been there ever since. Timothy was only 25 weeks along in his development (a "normal" pregnancy lasts 40 weeks) so he still has a lot of growing to do.

Psalm 68:19 "Blessed be the Lord who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation."

Age: 2 years old!!!!!
Weight: 21 lbs.
Height: 30 inches

Well, it's been a great month in spite of a few little illnesses along the way. We went to the pulmonologist on Tuesday and Timothy gained 1 1/2 pounds and grew an inch this month!!! She is very pleased with how his lungs sounded and wants to wean him off the diuretic medication he is on. We'll be working on that over the next 2 months.

For the last 2 days he has had some pink color to the secretions from his lungs so there is a little concern that he might have an infection. The doctor took a culture and we will wait to see if there is any "bug" that needs to be treated.

We are so thankful to those of you who continue to lift us up in prayer. Isn't wonderful to know that we have a God who "daily bears our burden"? We find great peace in that truth!!

Have a Christ-filled Christmas and a blessed New Year!!
Love, Jon, Sheri, and Timothy

Praises - Timothy is growing and thriving in spite of a few little illnesses
- He is still tolerating the schleral shell in his left eye
- His muscles are strengthening and his motor skills are continuing to develop
- God sent His only Son to earth as a baby to be the payment for our sins so that we might gain eternal life in Heaven if we ask Him into our lives. What a special gift!

Prayer - that the pink/bloody secretions from his lungs would clear up with treatment at home and there would be no complications
- that he would remain healthy through the holidays and the cold and flu season
(through Mar/April)
