Timothy James

"Precious to God"

I was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 8th because my amniotic sac was leaking and I had begun to dilate. I was ordered to lie flat on my back until the baby came ( I was due April 2nd!). Well, on Dec. 17th my water broke at 7:15pm and Timothy James decided to come early. He was breech and already on his way out, so the doctor did an emergency C-section and at 10:20 pm he was delivered. He went straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and has been there ever since. Timothy was only 25 weeks along in his development (a "normal" pregnancy lasts 40 weeks) so he still has a lot of growing to do.

Deuteronomy 31:8 "The Lord is the One who goes ahead of you. He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed."

We believe this with all our heart!

Age: 29 months
Weight: 24 1/2 lbs.

Thank you for your prayers. Timothy's recovery from surgery has been a little slower than expected since he had another really bad ear infection in both ears a week after surgery! He is now recovered and pretty much back to his normal self.

His physical development is slow and steady as he gains more strength and new skills. He is now sitting independently pretty well (we still have to watch for falls :) and he loves to practice standing up. He is getting very adept at using his left hand and we are still working on developing awareness and strength in his right arm. Our weekly schedule is getting pretty hectic with physical, occupational, speech, and vision therapy every week! But Timothy is definitely benefiting from all the input and practice so that makes it worth it!

Praise - his blood pressure seems to be in a pretty normal range and he tolerates it being taken every day
- he has recovered from surgery and ear infections

Prayer - that his kidneys would continue functioning well with no protein in his urine
- safe trip to San Diego next week to see an eye specialist
- strength for mommy & daddy's busy schedules
