Timothy James

"Precious to God"

I was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 8th because my amniotic sac was leaking and I had begun to dilate. I was ordered to lie flat on my back until the baby came ( I was due April 2nd!). Well, on Dec. 17th my water broke at 7:15pm and Timothy James decided to come early. He was breech and already on his way out, so the doctor did an emergency C-section and at 10:20 pm he was delivered. He went straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and has been there ever since. Timothy was only 25 weeks along in his development (a "normal" pregnancy lasts 40 weeks) so he still has a lot of growing to do.

Psalm 116:5 "Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yes, our God is compassionate!"

Age: 2 years 8 months
Weight: 26 lbs.
Height: 34 inches

I can't believe it's been a month since our last update. Time has really flown in our household!
As you can see, Timothy has been doing some serious growing over the last few months - he's gained 1 pound and 2 inches!

September is full of doctor appointments which we will update you on at the end of the month.
He has already seen the kidney doctor and his lab work was mostly good. She is still concerned about the protein in his urine, so we will be having some more tests over the next 4 months to determine if this is coming from the bad kidney (left) or the good kidney(right). If it's from the good kidney he will need to go on new medication to help protect the kidney from further damage from the protein.

He is now off oxygen for most of the day and night. We put him on for about an hour after each meal, but that's it! This is definitely an exciting development.

Praises - Timothy made it through his illness in August and there was no need for hospitalization
- We have received his walker and the physical therapist is beginning to work with him in it
- Fairly good results regarding his kidney function

Prayer - that he would get used to working in the walker and not get upset every time we put him in it
- that we would continue to receive good reports from all the doctors we see this month
